AREAS AFFECTED : CROCKETT, TX; IRION, TX; STERLING, TX; TOM GREEN, TX

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. 
 
* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following 
counties, Crockett, Irion, Sterling and Tom Green. 
 
* WHEN...Until 315 PM CDT. 
 
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 
 
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... 
- At 1215 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to 
thunderstorms along and west of a Sterling City to Barnhart 
to Sheffield line, then along the western Crockett County 
line. Movement was northeast at 30 mph.  Minor flooding is 
ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. 
Between 0.25 and 0.75 inches of rain have fallen. 
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 2 inches are expected 
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor 
flooding. 
- Some locations that will experience flooding include... 
Sterling City, Mertzon, Ozona, Barnhart, Sherwood, Arden, 
Broome, The Intersection Of Us 190 And Highway 163, The 
Intersection Of I-10 And Highway 405, The Intersection Of 
I-10 And Highway 290, The Intersection Of Highway 163 And 
Ranch Road 1973, Ft Lancaster and The Intersection Of Ranch 
Road 2083 And Highway 405. 
- This includes Interstate 10 between Mile Markers 329 and 379. 
 
This includes the following Low Water Crossings... 
crossings along SH 163, Ranch Road 853 crossing east Rocky 
Creek, Ranch Road 859 crossing west Rocky Creek, Ranch Road 
853 crossing Middle Concho River, RM 853 crossing Dry Draw, 
County Road 202 crossing Lopez Creek, Sherwood Cemetery 
crossing, County Road 202 crossing Spring Creek, County Road 
113 crossing Dove Creek and crossings along County Road 302.
