* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 219 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated widespread light to moderate rain across the
Warning area. Although the very-heaviest rain from earlier in
the night has since ended, extensive flooding issues will
likely continue well into the daytime hours due to 3 to 8
inches of earlier rain, and the potential for another 1 to 2
inches of rain before precipitation finally ends within a few
hours after sunrise. Flooding of several small creeks/streams
and mainly rural county roads is likely, and it will take
several hours for water levels to gradually fall.
- This includes, but is not limited to, the following streams
and drainages...
Horse Creek, Wood River, Beaver Creek, Cottonwood Creek,
Moores Creek, Cedar River, Timber Creek, Prairie Creek, Clear
Creek, Council Creek, Davis Creek, Lincoln Creek, Silver
Creek, Plum Creek, Prairie Slough and Elk Creek.
- Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Aurora, Central City, Fullerton, Stromsburg, Genoa, Osceola,
Shelby, Palmer, Clarks, Silver Creek, Giltner, Polk, Chapman,
Phillips, Marquette, Hordville and Archer.
