* WHAT...Flooding caused by high water and heavy ice runs continues.
* WHERE...St. Mary's.
* WHEN...Until 100 AM AKDT Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is expected or occurring.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 800 PM AKDT, water levels have risen significantly with
impacts to low lying fish camps and smokehouses. Smaller
outbuildings from camps were reported to be floating upstream
on the Andreafsky River. Observers have reported the highest
water since 1989. Until the breakup front moves farther
downstream, expect continued slow rises and flooding of low-
lying areas.
- Water levels have peaked at the Yukon River Pilot Station
gage at 33.76 feet Sunday afternoon and have begun to slowly
drop Sunday night into Monday. The current reading at 7:45pm
Monday is 31.0 feet.
